The ferry day return cost me £78.10 (well, cost my customer). _________________ Dennis

It is, Allegedly, the most expensive stretch of water in the world to cross £78 is a lot and we as Islanders do get a bit of a discount but not much. |

I though it be nice to add a little from the otherside of the fence so to speak. MaFt, who I'm sure will no doubt eventually see this post an comment, tends to spot all the oddities on the database. And even though you and I have not been adorned with a verifier tag on our avatars, we would and most likley are taken very seriously when we choose to post a subission, against say someone who has maybe only a few posts to their name. Remember that if a few people post the same submission it's pretty much as good as verified. So keep 'em peeled. _________________ Dom

The fact is ALL submissions are treated seriously, any small update that can be offered is better than nothing, even reporting existing mobile locations when they are manned is worthwhile.
Lets face it how often do you pass a mobile site, you get a warning and there is nothing present, on the otherhand if infact the mobile location is in use PLEASE let us know via the submissions page, camera ID and date time etc, that is all that is required, this at least lets us know the site is still active - Mike |

Seemingly, some verifiers wish to be recognised as such, whilst others may choose to retain their anonymity. _________________ Andy

yes, this is something that has been discussed recently and some have chosen to become 'public'. there is still a good proportion of anonymous verifiers though!

Having eventually read the article, I realise that my Swedish camera submissions were probably not helpful because there are no verifiers there, but I did submit a couple!
Any thoughts or advice? |

cameras, particularly static ones, can also be 'verified' by multiple submissions with matching data - so while they may take a little longer to verify (not sure how many swedish users we have?!) it is still useful info.

Ancient proverb - "From little acorns, mighty oaks grow". We didn't have any verifiers in the UK at one time!
In the meantime, simply send me a lot of money and I'll pop over there and verify all of them!! _________________ Dennis

But I believe that they only grow softwood in Sweden, just like you softie northerners. But I feel certain that there must be some prospective verifiers there. If PGPSW accept aard northeners living in Kyensham, or softie southerners living in Sussex, Im certain that Swedes would be OK.
Now duck low to avoid Norheners and Sweedish People.
In the meantime, and on a serious note, Gregd, keep up the good work, you might just save someone's licence in Sweden

Thank you and keep up the good work!
We have to start somewhere and every submission helps. Keep submitting them when you find them. _________________ Gone fishing! |

Just wondered whether you have a verifier in Holland? I have submitted several new locations last month but they're still provisional. I am off there again soon (another part) so will probably feed some more locations into the system but if they're not likely to be verified, should I bother? |

I can't comment of Verifiers in Holland but i'd like to address this point.

By submitting camera locations in ANY country you help the database and in turn once Verified one may well earn you a Free Lifetime Subscription. The European database is expanding but if people don't bother to submit the cameras then why would PGPSW send or apoint a Verifier in that region? It's kinda Catch-22. If cameras are being submitted then PGPSW will have to address the issue of there being Unverified cameras. If they are not submitted there's no rush to appoint a Verifier..... |

And rest assured we are working to secure in-country verifiers in all the countries we service. Please do keep reporting, it may appear to be a slow process in some areas at present but it's a snowball that is gathering momentum and we will get there! _________________ Darren Griffin |
