|
|
Firstly, I'd like to say a big hello to you all as I am new here on the forum!
I've just purchased a Becker Traffic Assist 7934 and am wondering as to whether there is a better software package available as the unit only offers 5 digit postcodes and is generally pretty user unfriendly.
I attemped copying the latest data files from Beckers website onto the flash mem only to find the unit does not recognise any postcodes despite allowing 7 digits to be entered.
At the moment I have left both the flash & card clear until I can hopefully obtain some further info on this. I have read somewhere that Miomap & IGo software are compatible. I did attempt to load a copy of Miomap v3.3 which I downloaded off the net but I was presented with numerous error messages in a foreign language & the unit then froze, I therefore removed.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks. |

I had one for 24 hours and promptly returned it.
I was getting loads of "Memory Allocation" errors when it was trying to calculate destinations so I considered it flawed.
Yes the short postcode was a problem but apparently the 1.3.2 download from Becker should sort that ? _________________ DashCam:

Thanks for that.
As I say, I still had problems when installing the upgrade. When I unzipped the download it gave me a Becker autorun exe file that subsequently doesn't run as it's not a valid win32 program & also a mnav & resources folder. The instructions on their website told me to copy to the mem card & then reset but this didn't work so I copied them to the flash mem via sync & then reset. The unit then accepted 7 digit but didn't show any results when input!
With regards to other platforms..is there anything else out there I can use? What about Garmins software as a relative just bought a Muvi 200w?
Also what about Miomap & IGo..where can I obtain this software?
Thank for your help guys. |

I'm glad I returned the Becker, it some seem like it's more trouble than it's worth.
For now I'll stick with my TalexLite and possibly go TT1 in the future. _________________ DashCam:
