We the code worked yesterday, perhaps they got to much business at that rate!!!!!
I also noticed that there is a couple of other places that will do it for £155. It does seem strange though that comet should sell the 720 cheaper that the 520.
If it helps I can scan a copy of the order conformation from Comet if any one wants proof on the cost.
Now of to comet to get it!!! |

A bizarre situation where the entry level One Third Edition Europe with RDS device costs more than what was the flagship device from only a few months ago. - Mike |

Just been on to Comet they say the code is only for the 520 and not the 720, Does anybody have proof that they got the 720 with the extra £15 off? |

That code does still work but only on the 520T:
No where near the bargain's from yesterdays option, someone must have realised the mistake and pulled the offer, I wonder how many people grabbed a bargain though - Mike |

IS there a way to tell how old it is, the version of home it came with was 1.6 something. |

cejsmith you must have been very lucky because Comet refused to sell me the 720 for that price even though I explained that there was someone who had pruchased at £154. I missed out along with a few others you've got a really good deal well done.
Unless I can prove the sale at that price they wont even admit it was advertised. |

Just spoke to Comet direct at 1245 and they new say the promotion (that the customer service person did not know about at first) has now finished today. He assumed it must have been before the stores opened. So it is back to the original £169. they would not budge on price. |

The code worked for me last night, & I collected today with no problems - in fact the guy came out of the stock room with a 720T & said "720T yeah?" - boy I was tempted... but I guess I'm far too honest.
Still, can't complain at £154! |

The version of Home software that is supplied with the device is v1,6 to get the very latest version you need to download it from TomTom's web site, or to make life easy click HERE - Mike |

Does anyone know what the likely shop selling price will be for the 730 units ?
720 prices are certainly very tempting at the moment but might be worth hanging on for a few weeks. Guess the launch price usually gets inflated to catch those of us who just have to have the latest toy. |

Well, I spent £19 on signing up & have now backed up, updated to latest firmware, installed (full) Europe & (full) uk cameras & then realised I needed the ogg files re voice alerts for speed cameras but am having problems with the last bit despite following the instructions in this site - I'll post about that in full in the relevant section... |
