Hi
Yep it over writes the POI you already have on the device. All Garmin sat navs have a max, some garmins have a max of 85 categories (i3) others have 257 as max, if you do a search you will find quite a few posts on this subject, look in "POI" section or "Garmin nuvi streetpilot other garmin" sections. |

Yep thats right all lost as it over rights the last lot, if you want to keep them in the future keep your POI's in a folder on your comp, then when you get some new ones, add them into the folder on your comp, then upload the whole folder, so reloading the ones already on the sat nav & the new ones you have added to the folder. |

There is just one thing to watch if you go down this route, if you keep adding to the folder the number of POI will grow, if there is a max for your nuvi 310 you might well pass this & the first you will know is when your nuvi lockup when starting & its to late by then, so be careful with the number of POi you load. |

The limit was 257 categories for the 310. However if you have firmware version 3.90 or later the limit has been removed. |

The speed cameras are POIs too so when you add them you must add any other POIs (supermarkets, fuel etc) to the upload folder so POILoader uploads them all again each time. |

The same folder on your PC, yes. Keep all your POIs (including the Speed Cameras) in one folder on your PC. When you update any of those files reload the lot. POILoader asks you for a folder to upload. It'll upload any POIs you have in the folder you specify. |
