If I knew how |
tools, settings, display, screen shot (enable)
you then get a little camera icon on the screen that will take a screen shot. these jpeg files are then stored on the internal memory: garmin, screens (?) which you can upload to various image hosting sites (imageshac etc) or your own webspace then use the 'img' button when posting in the forum to link to the image

Hi Phil
No Problems taking the shots (i'm sure I didn't reset to take the second shot)
I figured it would have to be uploaded to the website, but thought there might be an easier way.

You can upload them to ImageShack or another similar service and then link to them from here. |

Ok here goes.
This is the image of what I get (what I like) on max zoom
This is what I get (roughly) when it zooms out a couple of clicks.
as you can see not as good.

By the way I did an experiment yesterday, I deleted all the poi and used a external antenna and it made no difference to the 3D lag

I recently deleted all of my custom POIs because they were mainly wrong. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 750 w/City Nav 10 N. America & 08 Europe

I think I'll jump the gun on this question. Most POI files are generated from lists of postcodes of known stores and locations. However this can lead to inaccurate POIs - some amazingly so. If you have the time and inclination it helps everyone to submit corrections to the database here to get more accurate POIs.
I notice crazyfingers is US based and i believe I'm right in saying the majority of members here are UK based, hence the US POIs might not be as up to date as they could be..... |

I've just got a Nuvi 200W, having used a TT Go 300 for a nearly three years I do have some disappointment with the Nuvi. Pointer lag is one and the map refresh rate if the other. The TT map refresh rate is definitely faster and smoother than the Nuvi. I'm almost to the point of buying a TTOne XL and selling the Nuvi. |

just got a 770 today. I thought it was supposed to have a QWERTY keyboard?
a bit infuriating that you can't play with the thing whilst USB charging....
and no SD card. so have ordered one via amazon.
I use in my motorhome so like to use the bean bag mount that I have from my old 2610. unfortunately window fitting does not fit friction mount. all I want is the right angled ball fitting. I can get a 5 piece kit, Part Number:010-10723-04 for £20 but I only want one bit.....
any ideas? |

Maybe it's a configurable option?

Two things for you to try...
A technique that works for the Nüvi 3xx series, is:
- Plug in USB and let it enter Mass-storage mode
- Remove USB and wait for "Loading Maps" to appear, as it reboots
- Plug USB back in
And one that works for the StreetPilot C5xx:
- Hold "time" (ie top-right of screen) for 7 seconds or so, to enter Diagnostics screen
- Plug USB in
- Exit from Diagnostics

Already answered here
eddieo please do not post questions in multiple parts of the forums. It makes a mess as you get multiple answers and questions. |

Faultless on a 600+ miles round trip to the Lakes (apart from trying to get used to the Traffic information).....
Last week tried to route me through a brick wall. (i3 v8 didn't have the road this is on so must be new - but v9 or v10????)
This week tries to send me on a wild goose chase around the back of houses rather than down a main road. (i3 v8 never did this)
Today tries to send me the wrong way down a one way street. (i3 v8 never did this)
Finally, after using the handsfree kit faultlessly for about 2 weeks, today it develops the magic missing final digit fault....... (i3 v8 didn't have handsfree)
