Any recommendation which one would be best? Am looking to use it with my Nokia for a sports tracking device (sportsdo). They recommend Sirf Star, but the Holox unit looks great, on paper at least.
One thing though, the 51 channels refers to the number of satellites it can track, well aren't there only 20 or so above the horizon at any one time anyway? Or am I missing the point? |

I'd go for SiRFStarIII. Skytraq is good but not as good IMHO as SiRF.
I also have deep reservations about any company passing off as another. Holux are the brand with a well deserved reputation, Holox are trading on that. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Re the Holox 54 channel receivers on ebay - my son bought one of these, and it locks on to satellites in about 15 secs, far faster than any of the others I've used.
They may be trading on Holux's name, but the receiver itself is 1st class. |
