forget active sync, nothing but trouble for me.
Could one not just place ones SD card in the pc, and copy the files over to the correct directory?
Obviously the second time you do this you will get an confirmation overwrite message warning of the same filename, but just select yes to all.
This I did and it seems to work ok?
Thanks

I have been trying to manually copy across the files and now found I have red squares all over my desktop and windows vista menus..did a system restore but they are still there. I don't think this is for the vaguely interested....I wish I'd never bothered. haven't the faintest clue what to try next. Going to cry instead. Missing bmp's? but why should copying some files from a download onto a removable drive cause my desktop to foul up in such a big way....back up? yes I did....what do I do with it? |

I'm not entirely sure what you have done. Simply copying the contents of the downloaded .zip file to your TomTom cannot cause anything like what you describe?
Have you actually succeeded in installing the files onto your TomTom?
If you are able to take a screen-shot it would help us in seeing what it is that you are describing and then we may be able to assist?
You can do this by pressing the Print Screen key on your keyboard. It may be labeled [PrtScn].
Then open Microsoft Paint, go to the Edit menu and choose Paste.
Go to the File Menu and choose Save As. Navigate to the folder where you want to save the image. Type a file name for the image and click the Save button.
Then email the image to me, darrenATpocketgpsworld.com _________________ Darren Griffin |
