I have an XDA Orbit on which I have TomTom Navigator 6.030 installed. The problem I have is that every time I soft reset the device, TomTom automatically starts and it's really starting to irritate me.
I have deleted the 'autorun' TomTom icon in the Windows/Autorun/Storage Card folder (this is what is causing the problem) but after a few hours the thing just reappears, even if I don't touch TomTom. Does anyone have any idea what the registry entry is that is causing this autorun to reappear or, if not, any other way I can stop the app from starting automatically?
Thanks in advance. |

Assuming you have a full copy of the memory card and all its folders (if not make one ASAP) just delete the 2577 folder which is where the autorun and certain other files related to installation are kept - Mike |

No, the autorun that is causing this to happen is in Windows/Autostart/Storage Card. There is a file called 'autorun' which has a TomTom icon. I keep deleting it but it keeps reappearing. |

That is strange, I have TTN6 installed to my HTC Artemis (which is the same device to all intents and purpose) - I do not have this problem, then again I don't have any auto run files on the device, I only carry the CAB installer file on the memory card just in case I decide to wipe the phone when away from the PC - Mike |

Fixed it by an uninstall and install of version 6.032. Works a treat now. Strange problem that was.
Thanks for the replies. |

I found that I had to rename the directory 2577 and also change a file called "start.exe" to something else. Once I did that, it was OK
