Hi All,
Long time no post!
I've just updated my GPS Converter Software so it works again on the .csv files.
Enjoy...

There was a problem with the data which was crashing the speed lookup routine.
This is the problem data :
-1.92056,57.41814,"MOBILE:44917@53"
See it's 53mph which isn't in our lookup table! Maybe we should get this changed in the database?
The program now uses the unknown distance for speeds it cannot match.
Enjoy. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 310T V9 Maps

Hi cbrom
Thanks for updating this extremely useful utility!
Slightly off-topic question (sorry) but I've searched the forum and it appears that its not possible to change the size of the banner, is it however possible to change the text that appears in the banner when a speed camera alert is triggered?
Cheers - Nick |

They give you access to more of the functionality that the device is capable of. In the case of CBROM's program, this is the per-POI Proximity Distance (rather than having to settle for POILoader's default).
See this Wikipedia Article (scroll to "Example of Garmin Waypoint extensions")
FWIW: The way I use the Converter is:
Edit PGPSW's .csv files, so that all the speeds are adjusted to ACPO guidelines (10% + 2mph), so that 50 becomes 57, 60 become 68 etc. I also made the corresponding adjustments in MPH.CSV.
Then, by using the "Always Alert" option, I get a single Proximity Alert for each camera, but only get recurring Speed Alerts, if I'm going ridiculously fast I find this the right balance between being alerted and being annoyed by too many warnings. |
