Hi, again (I knew I'd be back...)

I've just downloaded the Eur and UK camera databases, but they don't show up on screen on my TT V2 Western Europe.

I put the card in my reader after downloading, and all the files appear to be there.

I did get a message half way through downloading, which said:

"Cannot copy Pocketgps_UK_pmobile_70. The directory or file cannot be created."

Can anybody help, please? (I have read pages and

pages [i]of FAQ's but just got bogged down) I am a VOP (Very Old Person) and not very computer literate....)

Thank you
David

If you can see the files via your card reader, can you tell us exactly which files you can see, and the folder which they are saved in?

Thanks.

Hi Daggers,

There are 123 files (all OV2 or bmp) from:

pocketgps_eur_gatso_20.bmp
to
pocketgps_uk_temp_.ov2

but they don't appear to be in a file - just listed separately... wot have I done?? (wrong, obviously)

Thanks
David

If you're using a TomTom, they should all be in your map folder. Check where your other POIs are, and they should be with them.

OK. I think I've sorted it.

I don't know how I did it, but I obviously hadn't downloaded them to the map folder.

I have now dragged and dropped all 123 files (one by one!) into the correct folder, and they now appear on my device.

I shall now go and join NO. (Numptys Anonymous)

You say 123 which seems strange? A POI category comprises of the .ov2 file (the data) and a .bmp file (the icon), so you should always have an even number of files if all the files you moved were POI related - Mike

Or the splash.bmp or suspend.bmp files have been shifted Wink - do you still get the same picture on the device when it first starts up and then a different picture when you switch it off? - Mike

Hi Mike,
I still get the Tomtom 'hands' when I switch on, and the 'suitcase' when I switch off.

Just checked through all the files, and the 'odd man out' seems to be:

pocketgps_uk_temp.ov2 it doesn't have the matching .bmp file.

Also, see my OP re message about the uk_pmobile_70 files 'cannot be created' Why only those 2 files??

Thanks
David

The pocketgps_uk_temp.bmp file does exist, and I have no idea why your pMobile70 camera file refuses to load to the unit, what I would try is downloading the database again and trying to copy the files required from the new download - Mike
