|
|
I have a Sysonchip CF card. The Leadtek software finds it OK and recognises the NMEA signals etc so I know the card works. I am using with on only Jornada 545 and the allocated port is "Port2"
When I open PocketStreets it shows ports 1,3 and 4.....but no Port 2.
Any ideas where I am going wrong here ?. |

That's an old version. You need to use version 11.00(18.0200) - it supports more COM ports _________________ Lutz

Thanks - but this doesn't solve the problem.
I am now on the version of PocketStreets that you mentioned. When I start the Pocket PC (a Jornada 545) I open the Leadtek s/ware and select Port 2 - this opens the Sysonchip card and starts receiving signals (all Leadtek screens show that I am receiving signals and can see satelites).
When I then go into PocketStreets and select "GPS", I only get the option to use Ports 1,3 or 4....port 2 is not in the list.
Any ideas please ????? |

Some additional information........
When I have the Leadtek software active in the background (ie on Port 2) the CPS card is also active and giving the Leadtek s/ware data to determine the current position. When I exist the Leadtek s/ware it obviously colses the communication to the card and the card is turned off.
In Pocket Streets, when the Leadtek software is running in the background using port 2 then this port id not displayed in the Pocket Street lists (ie I Pocket Streets only offers ports 1,3 and 4). If I first trun off the Leadtek s/ware then Pocket Streets offers ports 1,2,3 and 4 however when I select port 2 the card is obviously turned off so I don't get any signal.......
I appear to get the same behaviour on a new iPaq2210 that I have if I more the card over to this machine.
Confused..... oh Yes ! |
