ICN 520 Problem................
Just Upgraded to the latest PocketGpsWorld Camera Database (The Navman ASC Consolidated File) Release 8th January 2008 And I cant load the Mobile Camera File, Smart 2005 comes up with internal error!
All Other Files have loaded OK but this one won't!
I have never had this trouble before with any of the files and I have had to resort to loading the speed zoned Mobile Files for now, which all loaded OK.
Is this a file size issue or what?
Any Ideas Please!
PS. I have deleted the old Mobile file from my computer (This loaded fine to the Navman) so I cannot even load the old one back on.
I have also tried loading the compatible CSV Mobile file that works on my Garmin but that won't load either (Same Error) |

When you upload the files do you overight the old file names? You may have run out of space. Too many files.
Look at the poi manager in Smart ST and there is n option to veiw the files installed on the device! _________________ Dom

Not seen this one before! Do you load your new PGPSW POIs "as new" each time (by deleting the old ones first) - I assume you do from your comments - or do you just update them. I would try deleting all the existing POI safety camera files from your 520 and then try again, strictly following the instructions on this site.
Which camera download do you use..I prefer the Consolidated by Type but you may prefer another one.
Do you save the POIs to the hard drive on the 520 or the memory card. Check on the available memory on each to see if there is enough space left.
That's all I can think of at the moment. _________________ Gee-Pee

Satnavman, I'm getting the same message as you ( Internal error) but on an ICN 630, all other files loaded Ok, and I overwrite existing files from previous month / download. |

Try this, please. Open the file using Notepad or a similar plain text editor (it's important not to use Excel, Word, Wordpad, etc.) and delete [one] entry, then resave te file. It doesn't matter which entry you delete, just one complete line. Of course, if you know that you are unlikely to go anywhere near a particular site, choose that one to delete.
After you've deleted one entry, try and save the file to your device again. _________________ Tim |

Thanks Tim, removed the first Mobile camera from the list, and then saved it to device without any errors. why did one line make all the difference when i have 14.28mb Memory available and only 414kb required to save the file.
Thanks |

No idea, I'm afraid, but it's happened before. Do a search for "Navman internal error cameras" (search for all terms). Even Navman don't know why! _________________ Tim |

Out of interest does it make any difference if you open the file, save it WITHOUT making changes (or delete one character and then put it back EXACTLY as it was before) and then try loading it? |
