Ian there are umpteen sites on the web that will test your speed for free.
Just type in broadband speedtest and you will be fine. |

Should be getting towards 3/4 done by now Andy. It's the last quarter which takes longest - it sort of slows down exponentially. Best get off to work and leave it running until you come home again tomorrow. _________________ Dennis

I am sure there is a list in the POI's in this site. we should vote to see what one it should be. _________________ NEW Tomtom GO 500 (hope it is good)

Seriously Andy that is slow. On my best speed of 4.ish it generally takes about an hour 20. I realise there are a lot of mitigating factors but that does seem very slow. |

I've done THREE West Europe downloads at work in the last month (two bought from the website and my one today).
I think work is 2GB+ and it has taken a bit under 3 hours each time. |

Andy have you tried a download from home rather than the "alternate" location, some companies IT departments can kill a download automatically if above a certain size? - I wouldn't even bother browsing the net any longer where I am, its easier using the phone - Mike |
