Hi Jimbo1951, Welcome to the forum.
Couple of questions.
Do you have any sort of memory card inserted into the side slot, if yes try removing it?
Do you at least have the Smart ST software CD?
Within the menu options (and I forget where) there used to be a screen to show what maps are installed if any. Does i say any maps are installed?
Do you remember doing anything significant between now and the last time you used it? _________________ Dom

There is'nt a memory card in the side slot, and I did'nt get the smart st disks with hence why i got it cheap fron currys. the only thing i did between using it the last time and this time was turn it off and back on.
But I have found that my son downloaded smart st off the internet and ran it on the computer. he has now emigrated to a far off dark corner of the planet .
Thanks for your reply

If you want to refer to the Manual use this link Here.
A quick read suggests you need Microsoft ActiveSync 3.7.1 - and Navmans Smart ST which your son may have installed already, connect the icn530 with an appropriate usb cable if you have it and you should be able to see what maps are installed and if there is any problems.
There is no obvious reason as to why your device would just stop using the maps or suggesting that they are not installed when they were there only a day before.
A call to navman support would be a good thing to do at this point, as they may have experienced this before and know how to fix it. You may also have to consider buying a new map set but that is a last resort at this point. _________________ Dom

A mixup in bersions will cause this problem. New version software can't use older maps and vs versa. If he has done an Updgrade, you will need disks to install the original version - give Navman a call.
If it ain't broken, don't fixit |
