TTN6 USA Maps Question

I am just about to upgrade my TTN5 with UK and USA SE maps to TTN6 with the latest maps.

If I decided to buy the full USA map set while they are on sale rather than just the SE maps like I have previously, can I just install specific states as required to save SD card space?

My understanding is that the full USA map is one continuous map so you would not be able to choose which states to use from it. I would expect it to be similar to Europe where you install the whole map and not individual countries from it. Sad

Maybe time to buy a bigger card or have two (one for UK, one for USA). Wink

Thanks for the reply. I have a 2GB SD and a 2GB SD card in my Axim X51v so have more than enough storage, just can't help but think that they whole map would slow it all down a bit.

My US map is split into regions...easy to select those that you need.

I emailed TomTom about this and got a reply for anyone else interested.

On TTN5 you could install individual states/regions from the full USA map, but under TTN6 you cannot, and have to install the whole country.
