Anyone know what the new cameras are that are just outside Havant on the A27? They are appearing on both sides of the road and are on yellow gantrys that hang over the road. They have appeared in the last month or less.

they are also in the latest database release (though positions may be slightly out due to numerous submissions differing in actual location!!)

Yes, they are SPECS, although they seem to be there permanently and not just for the roadworks.
I can only assume that this is something to do with the history of accidents along this stretch of the A27
They look like this:
Except that their masts were also painted bright yellow the last time I saw them - but they have the tell-tale 'Batman' logo for SPECS cameras

Also on the Fareham to Portsmouth section of the M27 but not active yet.
