What type of SD card do I need to buy to work in a Garmin Nuvi 300? I'm looking at getting either 2 or 4 Gig size.
Thanks |

You don't necessarily NEED an SD card at all if all you will use it for is navigation.
If you want to use it to play music or play photos or whatever, you get an SD card with as much space as you want.
Not sure what information you are looking for. |

Careful... Not sure the 300 will take the SDHC cards that the higher capaciies (4GB +) sometimes use. _________________ Phil |

Yeah, that's what I was confused about. I looked on a few sites and there seems to be lots of different types, such as 'mini', 'micro' and 'high speed' - which can I use ? All the manual says is that u can only use upto 2 Gig. |

i have a nuvi 360. mmc cards dont work, i use an integral high speed 2 gb sd card as this the highest recommended by garmin, not tried sdhc card yet, also i deleted any unnecessary stuff off my nuvi ie languages as this gives extra space for music.
hope this helps |

Just 2 clarify, does the NUVI 300 takes a standard SD card - not a Micro or Mini one?
And it can be a high speed one?
Thanks |

A standard size 2GB SD card will be fine for use in your device, if you can get a high speed one say 150x or even 166x even better although the high speed is not all that necessary for playing music from - Mike |
