Has anybody got Gregory Dunacans menu builder to work on the X20's, or can you tell me how to change the main menu order |

You can still use custom menus on the x20 devices BUT when you add the required file for the menu you will loose the MAPShare and HelpMe functions, these cannot be placed into a custom menu as they are not called up by the software in the same way as the other functions. - Mike |

Thanks for the reply, but I have tried it on my new 920 and it does not work. Created an Sdk registry folder as I had on my 910 copied files to folder but nothing changes, any advice |

Don't forget that all the names are case sensitive with these units. The Folder name should be SdkRegistry.
If that is correct the menu file is called TomTom.mnu
Have you tried copying the Menu File that you used, on the 910, to the 920? _________________ Richard

Check the spelling of the folder name it must be SdkRegistry and pay attention to the case of the letters, I have never 'Played'with a 920 yet but it is running vs7 software which I know works with custom menus on the OneXL, One Third Edittion, 910 and 720 so I cannot think of any other reason it wouldn't work - Mike |

Regarding the 'Mapshare' function, it's something you only have to do once. After that, the Home program does the rest. So it isn't a loss at all if the menu doesn't have it.
I can also live without the 'Help' feature. Getting the menu my way is more important. |

True. I was thinking only of the downloaded corrections. |

This is where the short cut menu customisation can be made to work for you though, enable he map share and HelpMe functions to get at the missing functions from the short cut option on the nav screen -works for the x20 units - Mike |

Sure, Go to Change Preferences/ Quick Menu Preferences and enable "Mark location of map error" and "HelpMe" from the list available (you can only have upto six items selected).
Now when you tap the short cut for Quick Menu on the Nav Screen it will allow you to select either of the above two functions - Mike |

If you add a map correction through Mike's Quick Menu workaround (which is the way I've done it too), then you will still need to use the original menu when you want to tell TTHome exactly WHAT the change is!
Not hard, but you need to:
-connect your TT to the computer
-open TT HOME
-Use windows explorer and go to the SdkRegistry folder and rename the TomTom.mnu file (something like TomTom.mnu.tmp) or move it to another place, i.e. your desktop
-in TT HOME, choose 'Operate my GO'
-On the second page of the original menu you can now access the 'Map Corrections' button
-Now you can tell your TT What the change is (otherwise your correction WON'T be sent to TT and all the other Map Share users!!!)
-When you've finished with the corrections, choose 'Done' under the TT screen and then rename/put your personalised menu back in the SdkRegistry folder.
A Pain in the backside, but not too impossible!
If anyone knows the code for the 'Map Corrections' button so that it can be manually added to the *.mnu file, I'd love to know what it is! (have tried 'SHOW_MAP_CORRECTIONS' - 'MENU_MAP_CORRECTIONS' - 'MAP_CORRECTIONS')

There isn't one. Both that and the "Help Me" icons are called up in a completely different way by the system. |
