|
|
I have a TomTom GO 700 (App: 7.161 Map: Western_Europe v606.0). I recently tried to but in a postcode of a hotel I wanted to find and it is not in the database. When I tried to drill down to the actual street that the hotel is on it is not on the map. I am guessing that it is because the street is newer than the maps I have.
What I was wondering was is it possible to update the postcode database without updating the map? If there is a way where do I get the new database from, as I assume it is just a case of replacing the old postcode database win the new one.
Any advice would be welcome. |

Updated postcode DB comes with the new map, so why not update the map. Then there is no garantee that the hotel is in the new DB! _________________ Want to get lost, forget your Tomtom next time you go out?

I will as soon as i get a response from Tomtom. I see you have a more updated map then me (though that would not be hard) would you be willing to do a check on this postcode (PL6 5ZD) for me please and see if it is on your issue of the maps.

TomTom USED to supply a new postcode file with a new map (except when they forgot!).
I've raised a question with them.... |
