|
|
I'm planning some multi-week trips in the US and Europe by car and bicycle where the route is already determined. Since I'm unfamiliar with the area I want to program the route into my PPC using Navigation software. I would like to input and save the routes before I leave on the trip and load them at the appropriate time. The routes need to support a destination and multiple stops (or waypoints).
I need help finding software that can do this. I just read that PocketMap Navigator can save and load up to 20 routes. Can any other software do this? I need both US and Europe map support.
Thanks,
Kevin Lutz

Check out Mapopolis.com. Under the 'Support' menu you can download and read the user manual. It does support saving routes, though to save waypoints within a route appears a bit complicated and you'd definitely *want* to preplan them. _________________ Tim |

I have TomTom 2.24 and read some reviews on 3.0, but based on what I read, you cannot save routes. Is this incorrect? How many different routes can you save? As I said in my original message, I want to be able to save multiple routes each with a destination and multiple stops before I leave on a multiweek trip. I can then load each days route without taking the time to input them and irritate my wife while she waits.
Is there a manual for TomTom 3.0 posted anywhere?
Thanks, |

There is a new "The Itinerary View" where you can do your planing and navigation from. You can have many stop over and multiple destinations. The route is saved as a file on the PPC and you easy load tis file when you want. Each time ttn will calculate the rout again. It works great!
