I am "talking" to TomTom support about why I do not get any mapshare updates on my 910. I have updated my map to latest and software etc. Are any other 910 owners gettin this problem?

Have you ticked all the relevant boxes on the 910?
There is also a menu under the Device Menu in HOME.
I take it you have a compatible map? _________________ Richard

Yes all boxes ticked, got latest map, got latest 7.1 software and using Home 2.1.

This was TTs response when I was having problems:

Within TomTom HOME click on Preferences \ TomTom MapShare \ Remove corrections \ and remove the corrections.
This will delete the existing mapshare files. Next time you subscribes to mapshare, the system will create new and working mapshare files.
Doing this should solve most of the issues. |
By the time I received that my MapShare had started behaving.

when I choose map share on my 7.161 910 I am told my maps are not in the correct format. TT Home says I have the latest maps but I can also go and spend the £30 (UK & I) for later version maps on the site.
Should I buy the upgrades and will this allow map share to work on my 910?
Any ideas |

I'm having the same problem. I'm running Nav 7.161 and just installing NA 7.10 maps. I can send mapshare updates, but I'm not receiving them. Any ideas? |

Tried that. It didn't work. I'm on the phone with support now. Can someone who has mapshare enabled maps and a 910 tell me if when you connect to home you get updates? |

Colleague at work. With 700. Updated to v7.161 and bought v7.10 WE map
Same thing - Mapshare outgoing corrections OK, but nothing incoming. |

Fixed the problem. I installed 7.10 maps on top of 6.60. That was the problem. I unistalled the maps and reinstalled them again, and now I get updates. |

Fixed my 910 too. Thanks ajsasr.
Changed to different map on device - Deleted western europe map - attach tomtom to pc and tomtom home - reload western europe map - disconnect and then switch back to western europe map on tomtom - connect back to tomtom home and all is well.

i've just upgraded my home on my 910 to the latest version and my map is an old one v660.1219
do i have to purchase the latest map from tomtom to be able to use the mapshare? or is there a free upgrade?
just want to make sure i dont waste £30 if i dont need to |

You need map version 6,75 or newer in order to use MapShare, whether this is a waste of your £30 depends upon how you view the effectiveness of MapShare, I am not too impressed with it to be honest and some of the ridiculous road blockages that have been checked and let through to end users is worrying - Mike |
