Trying to cover every possibility, I performed two hard resets. After the first one I installed the software through the SD card. No results. After the second one I did it onto the built-in memory. No results again. |

Consistent positional errors sounds like a wrong datum setting in your GPS receiver. Check it's set to WGS84. _________________ Phil |

The DATUM is WGS-84 as written in Globalsat BT338 specification part on the user manual. I also put the same DATUM on garmin Mobile XT software !! but i still have position error.?!! |

There will be two datums associated with the software. The datum of the received GPS signal (WGS-84) and the datum associated with the mapping (for Garmin maps this will be WGS-84 also) this is usually embedded in the mapping - or assumed in the case of maps locked to specific applications/manufacturer.
Now if you are still getting a consistent positional error (over a number of days) with all the datum set correctly, this is very difficult to explain. Temporary errors can be explained by poor satellite geometery - but for this size of error it would need some of the sats to be shielded from view - giving a one-sided view of the sky.
Check the position being reported by your GPS receiver against a known location (eg your house as featured on Google Earth). _________________ Phil |
