I found my update had been added to my account as if I'd paid for it - I got it through the "update my device" option, not the "latest map guarantee" option.
I reckon you should keep the pressure on, and if that fails, then a big bit of wood with a nail through the end often works... |

Looks like it's the bit of wood with the nail in, then....
"Navigate To".... "Address"... TomTom Support HQ - Done!
Seriously, I think if you keep on at them you might get a result, they obviously CAN upgrade people if they decide to.

Kev | Y'know what bothers me? - After I get #7 going with a new map, and maybe #6 too, they'll suddenly have v715 and gaily hand it out to Andy and all the rest like they didn't have a problem in the first place. _________________ Dennis

That's it. Three hours and I'm off to bed. New map downloaded and installed. No favourites or settings or anything. WE v710.1561 now on #7 (which I'm feeling sure is going wonky!!!)
Goodnight people. _________________ Dennis

It was hard work, but you got it. I'm not only one anymore, hope that the others get their updates soon. _________________ Harry (TT GO720T) |

This is really getting annoying. I've had a ticket open for a few weeks regarding this.
I've variously been told that the maps were not available, then they were.
I've been told to fax my proof of purchase, only for them to lose it. I've emailed a jpg of them instead.
I spent 15 mins on the phone to someone today, who put me on hold then cut me off. Phone back - 20 mins on hold. The guy I speak to tells me there is no map 7.10.
I assure him there is. He then tells me that there is NO (repeat NO) difference whatsoever between the 7.05 and 7.10 maps.
I ask why then have they emailed my offering it to me for half price, or as a purhcase on Home. I ask why is there no disclaimer for people who have 7.05 telling them (before they buy) that they don't need to. The guy said that 7.10 is "really just for people who've lost their maps".
Not sure whether to laugh or cry. |
