When I corrected it on #6 and #7, I only selected ONE point and it subsequently routed me right through there. _________________ Dennis

It took me 4 sections to unblock the road.
Why can't the damn thing be consistent? _________________ Richard

Why can't the damn thing be consistent? | Different maps/builds?? I'm currently on 705 (with 710 trying to download for the last 123 minutes!! ) _________________ Dennis

NB. It slows it down if you are using the bandwidth for something else. _________________ Richard

There are 3 short sections blocked northbound from "TT Verified" Mapshare update. |
I had it showing blocked.
I've unblocked it again, but only had to do *two* sections |
Blocked on mine but only had to do one the lower section on the north carriage way, now clear from Winchester to M40. _________________ Graham.

My new map v710 finished downloading at 1:30am and doesn't have the A34 blocked. Is that because it hasn't had the update or because it has? _________________ Dennis

After half an hour, I reconnected and downloaded updates. A34 blocked!!!. To unblock it I only had to unblock one section. _________________ Dennis

The thing is though, How can anybody trust TomTom now they have proved that mapshare can not be trusted even on major roads ? |

Still blocked according to TT verified. Perhaps they are going to send someone out to personally check that the block should not have been put there.
I had to unblock 5 sections. Any advance on 5? _________________ Gerry

This is sad - laugh ruefully or weep bitterly??
So last night, PGPSW issued the latest camera updates. Yesterday I eventually got #7 loaded and working with map 710. So this morning I have downloaded and installed the new cameras (two devices, being a Verifier I do more messing than most people, so it took me all of 15 minutes - any chance of getting our guys to take charge of the TomTom downloads to cut them down to, say, an hour?). As usual, whilst connected, I clicked Update my GO and received whatever map updates. And the B**** A34 got closed again!! This time, it took me at least three unblocks to get it back to OK. So later, I connected again to upload those corrections AGAIN and damned if it didn't block the thing again. Another multi unblock exercise!!!
I drive a lot of miles, to destinations at all points of the compass. If this stupid blocking is widespread, it's going to give me a lot of pain. Like I said before, I was a bit surprised last week when it didn't route me up the A34 (but pleased because I always avoid it for that direction), but how will I ever know the Axx is a daft blockage, not a genuine diversion? I can understand local changes will never be totally accurate, and new roads will take time to appear on maps. But blocking major arteries like this is on another planet. _________________ Dennis

Couldn't agree with you more DennisN.
I could be in Cornwall one day then Scotland the next. I upgraded from TomTom 1v2 to the 720 just because of the mapshare, Only to find i cant trust TomTom to release pucca alterations to their maps. _________________ Time for bed says Zebadee
