|
|
I have a model 710 that I paired with my blackberry 7250 and it worked great useing handfree. I then installed the map upgrade to map version v665.1293. Ever since then when I make blue tooth calls the call works except I can't hear who I'm calling. I now have the newer Black berry model 8830. Pair the units and the same problem. My volume is up because I hear turn by turn fine. I just have no speaker output from the calls. Did one of my files get messed up? I'm at level 101 so any solutions please be specific. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

Did you do a SOFTWARE update when you did the map update. Just changing the map, shouldn't have had any effect.
Do you know what software version you were running?
To check what version you are running now, just tap the signal strength bars and the version will show in a small box on the right (tap that box to get a whole page of further info).
Do you have a backup of the machine before you messed with it? (PLEASE say you have backups... If you haven't, then do one NOW before it gets any worse)
If you have got one, you can reinstall it and see if things go back to how they were before.
Before you do that though, there is one setting you can check.
As well as the normal volume control, there is another "hidden" one for call volume. It is accessed in exactly the same way (confusingly) as the normal one, but is only there DURING A CALL.
So.. make a call, and while the other person is talking, tap the bottom left of the screen and check the volume control you see then is fully up. |
