im thinking of getting one of these and was just wondering how do you install the new speed cameras as it has no SD slot, is it just a plug straight into the pc job and do it through that? |

Yes. It's exactly the same as if it had an SD Card. Just copy to the Map Folder on the internal memory. _________________ Richard

The TomTom ones , you use TomTom HOME. The ones on here (The better ones), use windows explorer, and the OV2 files. Do a windows explorer backup FIRST, before you do anything else. Everything you need to know, you will find HERE _________________ Audi A3 Sline sat nav |

Just a note.... If you have any more questions or want to search the forums fr anything, it's best to refer to it as the "3rd edition" as the "v3" is something else entirely.... |

I've got a Tomtom one, version 3 which doesn't have an SD card slot. Is it still possible to transfer POI to the TOMTOM? The automatic updates don't cater for people with a UK region...only USA (especially for shops and restaurants). Can anyone help? |

Just download the POI files you need in the ov2 fomat and copy them to the map folder on the device using Windows Explorer.
By default you can still use the Nav to POI option, if you want the full POI menu on the device you need to run a custom menu on the unit as the only standard menu option available to you is the Warn When Near POI - Mike |

Hi Mike! Many many thanks for your assistance. Please can you explain in some detail what you meant by the default part of the POI for the full POI as I'm still quite new to the TOMTOM and these things can be quite frustrating...until you know how! Cheers Mike. |
