Not strictly true...
Lutz is further west than you, plus quite a few tens of thousands of our US members _________________ Mike Barrett |

I would offer anyone who is in Florida to meet up in Sea World for a free beer in December, but then the beer is free once you get in there anyway... _________________ Mike Barrett |

They don't have a bar, but there's a pub reasonably nearby.
Anybody else coming, or shall Vera and I be wallflowers? |
Pauline and I have also booked in at the Travelodge so at least they'll be 4 of us! _________________ Robert Brady |

As for renaming the thread, I dunno, it started as an attempt to get the Expo wheels turning and looked that way until the usual Off Topic gang got their hands on it! Anyway, I can hardly rename it as the pgpsw informal pre-Christmas tipple meet - it's in such a remote spot there aren't likely to be many takers. I'm satisfied enough to leave it "down South" simply because it's so close. If we'd thought about it a couple of months ago we could have done a proper job somewhere more central/accessible.
It would be great if loadsa folk could come, but I fear we've left it a bit late.
Anybody who comes - there is a tradition (well, I've just started it, although some of us did the same at Expo 2007) that you have to wear a name tag sporting your site name and avatar, so that others have some idea who you are. _________________ Dennis

I thought that PGPSW Xmaasss Beeeeerrr Vestivel would be more appropriate!
Dennis, It was easy to find you last time with those knashers you used for an avatar pinned to your chest!
Those of you living west of me, please sign up for the meeting, halfway to the Tusker Lighthouse! |

Darn, I have a wedding to go to that day so I won't be able to make it - this is a real shame because I regularly pass through Alton and it's not far from home _________________ Andy

Travelodge at Four Marks has no bar/restaurant. Nearby is the Windmill Inn which I suggest we retire to after clocking in. Travelodge has a small meeting place room (their description).
http://www.thewindmillinn.info/
Windmill Inn is about 15 minutes walk north east of the Travelodge. If anybody else is coming who doesn't need or want to stay overnight, this is where you'll find us Saturday evening - it looks posh, so should suit a bunch of Southern Softypantses!! _________________ Dennis

Just checked on google maps, about 6hrs drive for me so i think i`ll be missing this one. Maybe next time it could slightly further north? Even, say, north of London maybe?? _________________ Tomtom GO 1005 LIVE
