Hi
Can someone tell me where to find the file to download for the spoken speed camera alerts(eg it actually says like 'Warning Gatso 30') Had it sometime ago and had to send my Tom Tom back for repair and now need to re install it. But cannot seem to find it on the site. |

You can use the ones intended for TomTom/ Route 66 but they will need to be altered to a different audio format, Garmin used to use .wav, but more recent versions of POILoader support .mp3 format IIRC.
To alter the format of the files downloaded from this site simply use Audacity to save each file to the required format - Mike |

It should be noted for those less familiar with Audacity that these files need to be EXPORTED rather than saved, otherwise audacity defaults to its own propriety file format.
If you're exporting to mp3 format you will need to download a free LAME encoder which you will need to 'point' Audacity to. _________________ Regards

If anyone has succeeded in loading camera voice prompts onto a Garmin Nuvi 200 could they please advise me how to load the files (suitable converted to .wav or .mp3). Should they be uploaded in conjunction with the camera database i.e. as one POI; or copied directly into the POI folder; or something else?
Thanks in advance. |
