You can download the camera data base in 3 formats: Consolidated, single file and speed zoned. I have read the description of each, but if you can download any of them which is the best and what are the advantages of each

It's down to what level of detail you want (or your satnav can accept).
The important thing to remember is ALL the different versions contain exactly the same number of cameras in total, it's just whether and how they are split up so that you can use different warning sounds, icons and distances.
Single File: Contains all the speed cameras in a single file irrespective of type. It is for UK users who have SatNav systems that can only use a limited number of POI categories. It is also the quickest and easiest to install for non-technical beginners - only one file and only one warning to set up. However it gives you the least information. A particular limitation is that you have no way of knowing that when it is bleeping at you and there is no camera in sight, that it is telling you about a possible mobile site. That is why it is better to use one of the other versions if you can...
Consolidated by Type: Contains one file for each type of speed camera. Useful if you don't want the full speed zoned data but if for example, you don't want to be bothered by alerts for mobile sites (as they are unlikely to be manned when you pass). With the data split up into types, you can disable or not install just the mobile camera file.
Speed Zoned: Contains the speed cameras in individual files for each speed limit and each camera type.
This is the one you need if you want to know what the speed limit is as you approach a camera (both by the icon flashing on screen and if you want, a voice alert too.
There are almost an endless amount of combinations of the above if you download all the options you can mix and match as you wish.
For example, you could use a combination of speed-zoned sub-categories of one type with non-speed-zoned categories of another type, i.e. speed-zoned Gatso and Mobile with non-speed-zoned SPECS.

You can download all 3 if you want, but you don't want all 3 on your sat nav, or you will get 3 warnings for every camera. All 3 databases contain the same cameras, its just the way the data is presented.
The SINGLE FILE, is a single file, containing ALL the cameras, so your sat nav will show A speed camera ahead, you won't know what type, or what speed.
The CONSOLIDATED, is about 5 files, containing ALL the cameras, aranged by type, so your sat nav will show a GATSO, or MOBILE etc camera ahead, but you won't know what speed the camera is.
The SPEED ZONED is about 24 files containing ALL the cameras, aranged by type and speed, so your sat nav will show a GATSO at 60 mph, or a MOBILE at 30mph etc.
Some sat navs can only handle a limited number of POi's, so some people will use the single file, others want to know whats up ahead, type, speed etc, so they use the speed zoned, it all depends on what you want, and what your sat nav can do, or has room for. _________________ Audi A3 Sline sat nav
