All-round satnav systems - advice needed

It wil do both jobs, but the phrase ''jack of all trades and master of non'' might apply in part, in the car a PDA is great because it can be powered from the cars ciggy lighter socket, out in the field battery life might be an issue, although U2O make some very nifty power bricks to charge the device on the move away from a power source.

As your new PDA is running WM6 for the OS a flat battery doesn't matter as you won't loose your data, be aware though TomTom do not support WM6 as yet so it might work but if you encounter problems they won't help out, other car nav software should be OK and I would think TT will also work, it's just more of a gamble - Mike

Won't be using Tom Tom though

Will be using iGo 2006, until they bring out the 2008 3D version (in a few weeks maybe?)

Chose iGo as it seems to be the best for Eastern Europe in particular.
