Am I being stupid or are mac owners not able to get home version 2.1? If this is the case am I unable to download the new 7.10 maps?
I've checked my version of home and it's 1.6. No update is available. It keeps crashing when trying to install map corrections too!
Any Mac owners to shed some light?
Thanks in advance

Hello Jammy
So there is someone else who is persevering with TT and Mac . All I can say is good luck!
I'm using TT home 1.6.020 with a Mac (shows the map corrections tab), with a TT one V2, and 7.131. AFAIK 1.6.020 is the latest version that works with Mac. I did get some downloads of maps (smaller files) to start with but now the file is 1.2MB and when I attempt to download it gets to 95% then crashes TT home.
You will need to get at least TT home 2.0 for mapshare to work properly. The only option open to Mac users is bootcamp as TT have stopped supporting Mac users for their latest products. |

I'm running Home 1.5.106 with a Go700 on my Mac. Not been offered any update yet.
I downloaded the new map v6.75 back in the spring with no problems. Haven't bothered with the v7 map yet. _________________ TTGO 700 (dead)

Hi
I originally posted in the new Map thread but this is probably a better place for ongoing Mac discussion.
New Map purchased yesterday from TomTom web site, but has never shown up in Home V1.5 (every time I check, it says its up to date - who knows where V1.6 comes from?)
Tried V2 of Home in Parallels VM / Win XP- new map shows up and is downloading.
Does this mean TomTom are, again, becoming lazy to Mac users like they were when the Go was first released I wonder.
At that time I used a 3rd party app (TamTam) then TT themselves released some Mac software, and I believe actually stopped the makers of TamTam from carrying on with their alternative software?
So here we are.. Mac users excluded again - despite my TT profile showing I have a Mac, and despite TT emailing me to advertise new maps etc.
As I pointed out elsewhere, some consistency from TomTom would help. And yes, I have contacted them to say how disappointed I am with it all.

I've just downloaded the "latest" version of Home for Mac and the installer filename is "Install TomTom HOME 1.5" (which I already have) so it looks like 1.6 is no longer available - let alone v2.
Anyone tried HOME in Os 10.5? |

I posted this on another forum and the person said it fixed his HOME crashes so perhaps it can help others as well.
First, make sure Home isn't open and go to your Documents folder. You should see a folder called TomTom. Take that folder and move it to your desktop or move it to the trash. Keep in mind that if you've made a backup it is probably in the folder you just moved and once you're up and running you should make a new backup. Now that you've moved the folder, try and update your TomTom again.
If that doesn't work, open the Library folder inside your home folder and then go to the Preferences folder. Move both the com.tomtom.tomtomhome.plist and the HOME Preferences file to the trash. Also inside the Library folder is a folder called Caches. Move the TomTom HOME folder inside Caches to the trash. Finally, go to your home Library/Application Support folder and move the TomTom folder to the trash. Try the update again. Good luck. _________________ Creator of the Bright & Vivid scheme available through HOME.

I don't have that information. However if the 50% offer is important to you then you'd be better getting hold of a PC and installing HOME 2 that way as a stop gap. _________________ Darren Griffin |
