Are there any plans for Michelin to collaborate with ProClip, so that a holder for the X970 (and others) can be made for their vehicle mounts? This would be very useful...

Hi Forum, hi DeepFour.
Are the V7 versions being dispatched to vendors yet ?
I have been checking on a couple of sites (namely Dabs & Shop BT) for a couple of weeks now to see the stock status of the X970T Europe changing on an almost daily basis from "due in 1~2 Wks", "none in stock","due in 1~2 days", back to "none in stock" back to "due in 1~2 days" ! I have already placed my order on Shop BT and am getting impatient

GHSTech.co.uk are expecting deliver Friday 26th Oct or Monday 29th.
Cost Inc VAT: £140.88 + about £9 postage.
This date ties in exactly with Stu's advise on another thread.
A fairly similar price to Dabs But for me their BIG advantage over Dabs is being able to speak via telephone with a helpful human being!
Dabs even seem to have abolished e-mail, so the only way to ask questions is via an internet "Chat Service" where you queue up to communicate via your keyboard.
Call me old fashion, but a short verbal chat wins hands down every time.
I hope to receive my X970T Europe V7 new edition next week, but so far GHS have been straightforward to deal with and very competitive.

Thanks for the info Clive06. I received an answer earlier today from shop.bt.com which seems to imply that they have had some in stock... Obviously not sold to active users of this forum
"Unfortunately, this item is out of stock, however, we are due more stock in on 07/11/07".
Stock landed at our distributors today and will be despatched to dealers later today and Monday. I know both GHS and Dabs both have orders in place and this stock will be with them Monday/Tuesday. _________________ Leyio = Share anywhere anytime!
lo folks, have just purchased an X960 new edition.
As per instructions I have installed the software and registered the unit, and have checked, and there is a fixed camera d/b update from 10/2007, looking on the download page it says to update with the content manager.
The only thing i can find is "speed cameras" under my michelin Guides / useful Addresses, dated august, there is an update button, but clicking it does nothing, nor does the sync button or choosing tools, then update settings
Did you have an Internet connection when you clicked 'update' ? , when I did it on my system it updated the speed camera date to October and enabled the'add' . I then added it and synched the PND and it then had Oct 2007 speed cameras.
yep t'internet connection was fine. Am just about to have another go, at least by what you've said, I was clicking in the right place............um I'm not missing some kind of software update am I? that needs to be sorted before I can do this, have got 7.0.0 (build 142).
Having checked the webpage I found it a bit cluttered, so looking for exactly what I was after was a lttle difficult (mind u most things are at 4 in the am), espesh the update dvd thats "free" but costs 7 quid inc vat?, but clicking on the link tells you its 99 euros?
just spoke to customer support, who were very helpful....the reason why it wont update, is because its not available for V7 software yet...
next few days aparently
cheers
Porph!
That's strange because I updated my speed camera data yesterday (for V7). It now has the October version. I did this via the content manager (as explained by Ian - thanks again). I also managed to do it via GPRS (once I had enabled gprs via the website).

As Bertie100 says ' thats strange'. I managed to update the speed camera database to October on my new 980T V7 yesterday using Content Manager, no probs.
Any comments Stu ? Is it supposed to work or isnt it ?
Yep should have the October update for V7, I did mine yesterday in front of a live audience at the Stuff show via GPRS.....
If you scroll down under useful adress section to GBR safety cameras you can see the last one installed.....whats is say? _________________ Leyio = Share anywhere anytime!

I've just installed the Content Manager software and was surprised to find it would not sync WMA files - only MP3.
I copied some WMA using active sync and they play fine... why doesn't the VM software give me an easier way to manage my WMA music library?
I'd also like to see the Country based content (POIs, Camera Alerts, Green Guides etc) given a country based menu so that you can choose a country first, then the particular content for the country.
Finally, I cannot get the 'Route' option in Content Manager to offer me any Routes, even though the website describes a 'Castles of Scotland' route which sounds interesting.
