They vary dependant on build, some are navteq and some are tele atlas and the later the build number does not neccesarily mean more upto date, what is your build no, in my opinion navteq seem to be the most uptodate. |

i know that TTNav 5 is V5.00GB maps, updated to V5.21
but i`m not sure as the version of TTNav 6 as i`ve mis-laid the box and the papers that came with it, i suspect its an early version
TTNav 5, amuses me while driving up certain sections of road such as the upgraded A1 around the M62, the M6 toll, and the A63 around selby etc as it obviously doesn`t know about the improvements to the roads |

The map v675.1409 certainly is correct on the A1 around the M62 to M1 area and the various bits of new road between there and Wetherby. This will soon change with the current works removing most of the roundabouts on the A1 and a few other new bits. |

Hi PeirreOBollox
On Nov 29 2006 I downloaded the latest maps of Western Europe v6.6. I didn’t take up the free offer of installing TT6 as I wished to stay with TT5. I have never regretted that decision.
I believe there has been another map update since v6.6 but I haven’t bothered to take up the offer as my version does me just fine.
I use TT5 quite a lot (Courier) both in the UK and mainland Europe and I have yet to see a better system. Just remember, maps can never be up-to-date, and the one I have has always got me to my destination. Believe me, Tomtom is a thousand times better than balancing a map on ones knee while trying to find an obscure address in London. _________________ Tomtom Go 720.

This is the latest issue of TTN6 Maps that I am aware of, their may be more that I dont know of:
Western Europe: V650 Build:1047 917Mb
Western Europe V660 Build 1223 856Mb
Western Europe V660 Build 1256 907Mb (Navteq)
Western Europe V675 Build 1322 912Mb (Navteq)
Western Europe V675 Build 1409 922Mb
UK and IE plus major roads of WE V660 Build 1223 214Mb
UK and IE plus major roads of WE V675 Build 1409 246Mb
The ones not marked navteq I presume are Teleatlas, in my opinion and certainly in my area the navteq are more uptodate than the later Teleatlas ones including UK maps. |
