Hi there
When I try to update my map corrections in TomTom Home 2 the progress bar stops at 80% and the whole program closes with the error report "xulrunner.exe has encountered a problem & needs to close ......"
This has happened on 2 different computers - one with XP Home & one with 2000 Professional.
Any help would be most welcome as this is preventing MapShare from working

Have a look at the bar just above this window, and you'll see Search
Type (or paste) "xulrunner" in the search terms box, and restrict the search to just the TomTom part of the forum in the next box down.
Ignore the third box and press search.
It gave me 15 matches, one of which will be sure to give you some hints.  |

See it is a common problem although the 2 solutions on other posts havn't worked on my TT520. They are either to disable bluetooth from the preferences menu or if this does not work to delete the bluetooth pairing.
I've e mailed TT for help saing that the 2 workarounds have not worked and will update here with their reply if it works!!

Guess what TT replied saying "disable the bluetooth" despite me saying that I'd already done this. Let's see their reply to my second e mail !! |

As I've just said in another post, over the last two or three days there seems to be a lot more of the "xulrunner.exe problem. Something seems to have changed at TT's end.
I don't usually have any problems up or downloading Mapshare corrections, but it has failed almost every time since Thursday or Friday. |

Their reply is
Dear Mr Stinson,
At present, we do not have any further work around's for this problem. It is currently being addressed and our development team is working on a newer version of the software. WE hope to have this released shortly.

Thanks but as stated above I have disabled the bluetooth connection with the phone as well as deleting the paring and neither of these has worked. Have you any further suggestions? |

We see you’re using an ad-blocker. We’re fine with that and won’t stop you visiting the site.
Have you considered making a donation towards website running costs?. Or you could disable your ad-blocker for this site. We think you’ll find our adverts are not overbearing!
