Submitting Camera positions using the google map

Hi all

I'm new to submitting new cameras to the database. One thing I didn't realise is that the existing cameras only appear at a fairly high zoom level on the google map used to locate the camera position. Subsiquently, I unwittingly submitted a number of camera locations that were already on the database.

Perhaps it would be good if the instructions were expanded to remind users to check for existing cameras by zooming fully in to the location to check for existing cameras. This would prevent users submitting duplicate cameras and presumably saving PocketGPS staff a lot of unneccessary effort.

P.S. Well at least one of the camera positions I submitted was new

I also made that mistake the first time I 'added' a camera because the one I was adding had been masked by a couple of deleted cameras nearby.

Nowadays, I always zoom right in as close as I can:

1) to ensure the position submitted is as accurate as possible

2) to ensure that there isn't already a camera there which may be masked by one which has been deleted or something similar

3) to get the best possible idea of the correct heading for a camera
