|
|
I love the new cursors people have been working hard to create, but am I missing something here? My new Tomtom Go 720 has a range of cursors, but they wont change from the standard blue arrow ! Doesn't matter what I select - still a blue arrow! Tomtom tech support are baffled & say they don't know why!
Any ideas folks?
Thanks in advance for any help. |

Are you using the map in 2D mode? - if so switch it to three D view and you will see the alternate cursors - Mike |

Just a simple reminder to those making cursors, to look for pictures of a slightly downward rear veiw if possable, as these always look better on the screen. A little less 2D IMO. _________________ Dom

ellelou - that depends on what TomTom model you have.
At present they only work on the 520 and 720 models, although that may change in the future.
To install them:
They just need to be copied to the right folder on the Go. On my system this is H:\art\cars where "H" is the internal memory.
Copy them using windows Explorer, or v2 of TomTom's "Home" utility can do it for you too.
If you want to make your own:
1. The image size should be 80x80 pixels.
2. The image background should be red (RGB 255,000,000).
3. The image should be saved as .bmp,
To change it on the TomTom:
1. Open 'Change preferences' in the Main menu.
2. Select 'Change car symbol'.
3. Select your new image. |

No you cannot add the custom cursors to a One XL this functionality is reserved for the x20 devices - Mike |

Hi
i'm just about to buy a tomtom 720, and I see it does custom cursors.
I've got bit of a strange one, my friend has got the 720, & as he's been so good to me I'd like this image converted so he can use it.
Yes we're both dalek builders and operators for our sins..
I've usede Lightwave to make it - so it's nice and clean
Thanks so much
Frank Xerri

Thanks |
I have redone the bmw and sent it to darren to put on the downloads page. Check back shortly and it'll be there.
It was such a light car to start with I figured it didn't need an outline! _________________ Dom

Guys in an effort to reduce all the OT clutter in this thread I've hived off the OT posts. Nothing personal but of thirteen pages of posts, only 5 actually concerned custom cursors directly. If you want to access the posts they are here. _________________ Darren Griffin |
