I got the same one from the same place.
It works fine in my 510. 3c_expert is Topram's ebay name.
Theres a page somewhere on TomTom's site which tells you to get the fastest one you can |

It's a grey area, although the x20's don't support SDHC, some cards are reported to work, all of these seem to be no larger than 4GB. My 8GB Class 6 card does not work. |
I have the SanDisk Ultra II 4 GB SDHC card and it works with my GO720. _________________ Harry (TT GO720T) |

Can you please tell me how do I switch to the SD card from 720 menu. I have no problem reading it from Home 2.1 but can not seem to find it on 720 menu |

You don't have to select the card anything that is on the SD will appear correctly if it is stored correctly, for example mp3 files need to be placed in a folder named "mp3" (no "" though).
I am currently running an 8GB SDHC card in my 720, what is that you are having problems with, map, music or other? - Mike |

Mike
I have been having trouble seeing the new map of W&C Europe, Download and install fine but when I go to 720 I only can find Canary Islands, it was suggested that the map is too large and I should install into SD Card, The card I am trying to read is for the Map which I installed, Home 2.1 ask me on start up which I need switched on Hard drive or card so it is clearly visiable however when I go to 720 I am not been able to to switch to the map installed on it. |

Connect the Go to the PC and shut down TomTom Home, open Windows Explorer and you will see both the TomTom and the SD card listed as drive letters.
Open the memory card in Windows Explorer then open the map folder, with all the files listed is there one that ends with .dct without this file your map will not be offered to you when you try to switch maps - Mike |

The original 7.05 Western Europe is 1586,6 MB and the 7.10 is 1743,2 MB.
My Western_Europe folder is now 1,59 GB and I have now 269,8 MB free left on the TT internal memory. I have copied all the useless voices (LoquendoTTS 136 MB), mp3's (23,6 MB), audiobooks (6,05 MB), photos (1 MB) etc. away from my GO to get more space for new maps. If I need some of these, I'll copy them to the SD card (same folder name as original).
Now there should be enough space for the 7.10 (if...) and Eastern Europe. _________________ Harry (TT GO720T) |

So you have the activation file and it should see the map and make it available for selection, the only other possible problem is the speed of the card. can you put an mp3 file on the card (in the folder named mp3 - create it if need be) and does this become available to select/ play - Mike |

You have to be carefull about SanDisk cards, there are a lot of fake/copies floating around ebay. I got stung, thought the card was genuinue until I logged a fault with SanDisk, and discovered there should have been a serial number printed on the back. My card was supposed to be a 4Gb Ultra but was very slow. |

I created an mp3 folder on the sd card and copied a music file there. 720 can see the folder and song and plays it well too. By the way I am running app. 7.01 and have not been offered app 7.210, not sure why home 2.1 has not offered the app. upgrade.
I have downloaded the map 3 times and all were downloaded and installed ok |

I couldn't access my new maps until I had installed app. 7.210.
Have you contacted TomTom support to say you haven't been offered the latest application in Home, and to ask how you can get it? _________________ Anita
