I updated at the weekend and since then TT2 has not worked, despite a number of soft resets, 1 hard reset and 2 restores from backup I keep getting the following
"Fatal Application Error
Navigator.... has performed an illegal operation.....
Exception 0xc0000005
address 01fc7df"
It may not have anything to do with POI Edit but it hasn't worked since I updated, anyone else had a problem or this error message and does anyone know the answer?

Two things. Did you download a lot more POI's at the same time ? If you did, you've hit the theoretical limit that TTN has, too many POI's and it can create this error on startup. Go into your storage card and delete some of the OV2/BMP files and then try and start it.
Failing that it could be a corrupted map/storage card. Try fixing the disk with storage tools from Softwinter.com. |

Thanks for the response Dave, Tom Tom came back with the same prognosis, I must have copied all the POI's when I upgraded to v3 at the weekend

I've done this on a number of occasions and it's bombed out. I wish TomTom would fix this. I know it's relational to how much memory you have left, but a simple error check with a popup dialog saying "Too Many POI's Installed" would make life a lot easier! |
