If it's greyed out, your phone is either not compatible or did not complete the setup process.
More than likely the phone is not compatible.
The N73 and 6233 are compatible Nokia phones from what I have heard. |

The 6280 is compatible CLICK HERE
Do you have an unread SMS to read? There can also be a problem if there are too many SMS in your inbox - CLICK HERE
Can't find anything in the manual about setting up SMS and a 720... |

hi
I'm having the same problem using a blackberry pearl. Hands free calling is excellent but I can't get the bigger to read text messages (all the txt icons are grey)
Anyone had any luck? I'm a bit gutted as tomtom were using the pearl in some of their publicity shots... grr! |

I am also having this problem. Connected to a Sony E K800i all the text features work, nothing is greyed out, the check box to "read aloud" is checked.....but it will not volunteer to read a text aloud when I have just recieved one. It will read the text message aloud if I manually select it to. It just won't automatically do it!! Naturally I am using a computer voice. Any idea's
By the way. Is there not a way to maually delete texts? At the moment I have to have the option enabled that deletes all texts when read/sent. |

If only it were that simple, Bluetooth was 'supposed' to be a standard but few manufacturers follow it to the letter hence these issues. _________________ Darren Griffin |
