Had to exchange faulty 720 a week ago ( hand free buzz) new unit works well, but had trouble setting up the plus services from faulty device, Played email tag with TomTom all week, device codes change etc, account reset. and still get "this content is protected for exclusive use on another device etc" The latest from tomtom was to delete files in the dowload section of the device, reload the latest tomtom home from their site which is actually an older version than the one on the CD! and still got the problem
Anyone any ideas i suggested to tom tom they just credit and close my plus acccount so we can start over again. Oh and now the units updated its firmware, my TomTom in Home crashes the application! |

I had exactly the same problem, after sending them proof of purchase was told that my account had been reset, it was showing the correct device ID but still would not connect, I reset the traffic device still no joy. I reopened the call explained that the device ID's were correct and the device still wouldn't connect, the call was set to research and then a few hours later everything worked OK.
I think they are resetting the device codes, but there's a quirk with the x20's thats causing them problems, and they have to do additional adjustments to get them to work. |

I am hoping to get my Traffic account switched to my replacement 720 on Monday.
Despite sending TomTom my proof of purchase, I was told all the 2nd line support people are out of the office this Friday.
Never mind customers, let's all go out on a jolly. |

Have you had any response yet, i have now been without live traffic for 10 days!!
At least the unit is performing well, apart from the My TomTom, from within TomTom Home, which still crashes the application!

I have had my Traffic Account swapped to the new 720 but Traffic is still not working at the moment.
It may be related to my other problem with getting TomTom Home to work properly. The XULRunner stopped working issue.
The Home problem I believe is due to the upgrade to 7.010(8290).
I proved that by restoring an original backup, and everything worked fine until the firmware upgrade. |

TomTom have a note on their support page saying not to call them as they are swamped with emails.
I guess it's all the 720's that don't work properly!
Due to technical issues in our support centre on Monday 20th August we may not have been able to answer your call. Because of the resulting high volume of incoming emails it might take us slightly longer than normal to respond to your query. We will respond to your question as soon as possible, so there is no need to phone us for an update. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience. |

Well Live traffic did not work this morning, checked tomtom website, and my questions, and it said "in Research" got in car to drive home this evening, and it all came to life! so assuming they finally reset all of my accounts, but i am going to steer clear of "home" and any updates at present !
Oh and when the system did fire up ,i had " a very nice lady tell me that i had 196 minutes delay " thats the M25 and M4 for you.

Traffic is still not working for me and it's been over 10 days now.
Now the support page is down, so I can't even see what they are doing about it!
It had a note saying research next to my email support.
I am not at all happy. |

My traffic started working at 1am this morning.
I think it's why TomTom pulled their website down, to reset the Plus services. |

How rubbish. I bought myself a TT720 last night from Comet. The TomTomPLUS website hasn't yet been working since then for me to use!
(This is on top of the other problems I have had - the bluetooth one, SD card one etc etc....) |

The PLUS services are still down "for maintenance". So much for me buying this 720 to subscribe to traffic updates for the bank holiday weekend |
