6.00 - prerelease beta version.
6.01 - official PPC release version.
6.02 - version for Symbian only? (I'm not certain of this).
6.03 - update for PPC version for devices with inbuilt GPS. |

6,020 is the version that was pre-installed to my HTC P3300 Artemis (IIRC this was the fist time vs 6,020 was seen, when the Artemis units started shipping), it was this version that first gave the GPS selection for "Inbuilt GPS" - the big plus point is that if you Hard reset the PPC based Phone the TomTom application is automatically installed as part of the ROM loading.
6,020 is certainly not Symbian only - Mike |

My Artemis (HTC P3300) is running version 6,030 after TomTom Home decided to upgrade it for me - it works very well and that is a PPC - Mike |

Many of the add on programs developed using the TomTom SDK (such as POI Warner) stopped working on V6.030 and needed a downgrade to 6.020 to allow them to work again. |

Same here on my Acer PDA.
One advantage I've noticed with 6.030 is that it looks for maps in more places e.g. both CF & SD cards which mine has.
Previous versions only looked on the primary CF card. |

It was only my understanding and based on what i thought were early reports, which made me resist updating, and in view of the factual replies i am now wiser and perhaps reconsider, but is there any advantage in updating?. I currently have no problems with the Mio168 and ttn6. |

Isn't 6.030 supposed to run slightly faster and smoother? |

From an internet search it would appear that 6.030 is only for PDAs with external GPS receivers and not for those internal GPS recievers, can anybody clarify??? |
