112 is the international 999 - in this country it has been set to do the same thing so that Johnny Foreigner can use his familiar number. We too could learn to use it, so that we are familiar with the European number.
Here's an oddity for you to try.
When I navigate from here to there, I pretty soon have to turn onto High Street (in Keynsham). Katie Komputer Voice says "Turn left, High Street, Collyers". What's Collyers?? I thought it must be some glitch in the street name here in Keynsham, but she did it the same for High Street in Wick (about 5 miles away). Has anybody else got a High Street they can try, to see how widespread this is? _________________ Dennis

Just tried out a route using High Street in Keynsham and she too said something similar after High Street. |

I KNOW she does it in Keynsham - I'm wondering if she does it in Blackpool, or Wigan, or Oldham?? _________________ Dennis

Yep, it does it in Blackpool too, at least it's not a North/South divide.
It sounds as though she's saying conyers. |

I've reported this to Tomtom already. I think she's saying 'Colliers' myself. It's done it for every High Street I've encountered. _________________ Tim |

I have since discovered my 720 will change the location curser but only when you are viewing the map in 3D mode a mode I never use, I like to see the map it gives you better idea of where you are. |

To what? | Don't Tom Tom do free memberships for people who submit the first accurate report of a subsequently verified whatsername? _________________ Dennis

Also Cricklade High Street.
It must be a very odd bug, as the system should just be reading the road name from the map data... _________________ TT720 V8.010, regular audio book user.
