Hi guys, I have a TT 510 and want to upgrdae the card to a 2gb.
I have the 2gb card but can't put the software onto it and get it working.
I've tried it via TT home. Also I've used the card reader slot on the PC to copy the TT card to my HD then copy that to the new card.
Everytime the TT then asks for an activation code which I got from www.ttcodes.com and still it says the code is not valid.
I'm get quite annoyed with it now as I need the extra space to add a new map for a driving holiday next month and can't seem to do it.
Had anybody got a definitive guide that will work for me?
Cheers

Use the guides from here. They work.
What you might need is the "Clear Flash" tool to get the activation code to work.
Both are in the
TomTom FAQs (Number 8 and number 14) |

Cheers, I've tried that and still get the TT asking for an activation code.
I've tried the clear flash but can't get the Activesync to recognise my device. |

On the TT site it's directing me there to download it for using with clear flash.
What else could I use? |

Can't see TT site mentions Active Sync anywhere? Where does it say this? |

I've tried copying from the tomtom card to the PC then from the PC to my new SD card and the tomtom keeps asking for the activation code. I get the code from ttcodes but it won't accept the code |

Did you use the Clear Flash Tool with the new SD Card in? _________________ Richard

When I download the clear flash tool it installs activesync too. Activesync won't recognise the tt on my PC.

Ok i've ignored the activesync part of the install and extracted the download and run the clearflash tool with the new card in, It had the full contents that my tt card had. It cleared everything except 2 files called ttgo.bif and ttn. Should they be left on? |

I've tried the clear flash tool. Then I copied the contents from the tomtom card to my new card and I still get the screen saying the product needs activating.
I enter the activation code and it won't accept the code.
What am I doing wrong? |

One thing I have noticed. The instructions for clear flash say the tomtom will be recognized as a USB device. The only thing it does is start tomtom home, I get no warning that a new USB device has been plugged in. Is that right? |
