I think i may have just my tomtom. i was trying to do a full backup as iv read on hear so many times, i plugged it in to the pc and opened up tomtom f:\ in my computer. i highlighted everything in my tomtom drive and dragged it in to a file i named tomtom 910 backup, i checked it after a while and it had stopped as my hard drive ran out of space even though it had 9.5 gig spare to start with, so i just canceled it and went to delete all the stuff it had managed to copy when i realised i was still in the tomtom drive arrrrggghhhh. so i hit cancel but i think some stuff is missing from my tomtom as there is maps missing and i think i noticed a lot missing from the tts folder. is there anyway of recovering this or will i have to try and explain my cock up to a. pixmania where i bought it from or b.tomtom.
please help as its only 3 days old and i need it for a change of job in 2 weeks doh!
Nick
ps im not a complete retard i just made a silly mistake. |

Check the recycle bin on the computer, make sure the TT is plugged in (so the removable drive shows up) then open the recycle bin and highlight all the files then click 'restore'.
I'm guessing it should work! |

Start Recuva again and go to options and tick the top two boxes. Not sure if that will find the missing ones but worth a try. |

Send it back as DOA and get another one, but with the next one make sure you have adequate space to back up the entire drives contents, little point in messing around trying to recover files and folders that have been messed up - three days old - send it back - Mike |
