|
|
As I was still running the old version of CoPilot 6 I upgraded the Pocket PC 6 version to the latest one v6.0.4.110. for the speed camera database.
This meant updating version twice to get there, almost like stepping stones.
Now when I open CoPilot it says that files are in use and to close other programmes using these files and try again, If I hit retry, nothing, if I hit cancel then she fires up
I don't know what other program is trying to use these files or how to stop the error message coming up ?

Yes, after I installed it, and kept getting the error message, I did a soft reset with the push button on the back of the XDA but its still there |

Unless anyone knows any better I'd say the only way to go is to go back to original setup and start again. Sorry
Found this link on ALK which will help do that.

Does anyone know the differences between the above 2 versions as according to the instructions on their website:
http://www.alk.eu.com/files/6.0.4/PPC6.0.4.110/CPL-PocketPC-6.0.4.110-Update.pdf
it is saying for me to deactivate licence on PDA and also on the net |

Do I not need to de-activate the licence then ?
Am I right in thinking, card out and into PC card reader, then copy and paste across copilot.wm5ppc winzip file onto card in the 2577 file, if it asks do I need to overide old fiole then yes. Card out of PC card reader and then back inot PDA
Do I need to uninstall the old CoPilot from the PDA first
Help As I don't wanna mess this up again |

connect the pda via active sunc then browse the evice and go to the storage card then browse the storage card and copy the cab file to the 2577 folder on the storage card.
one this has transfered disconnect the pda from the computer then using file explorer on the pda go to storage card 2577 then tap the cab file you just move accross
you do not need to do anything with the licence ie deactivating _________________ currently using aponia truck navigation on windows phone. Good bye IOS don't let the door hit you on the way out .

In work at the mo so i'll have a go later on, I've been using the PC card reader over active sync as i've been having various reasons why it can't use active sync, firstly it said the path was incorrect and it couldn't write to it and i've also had read only, make sure drive isn't copy or write protected
In the end I gave up and used the card reader as it works that way
Is there a setting i've missed somewhere on the PDA or active sync for allowing copying from one to another
Sorry for all these questions
