Hi
Not been in here in a while and would like to download the latest version of the Speed Camera Database, which version do I download? The Mio 168 is not specifically listed.
Thanks for your help. _________________ Not that technical

we have the following listed in the compatibility table:
Mitac Mio:
Mio Digiwalker 268
Mio Digiwalker 268+
Mio Digiwalker 269
Mio Digiwalker 269+
Download: MioMap CE
i presume the 168 will use the same format but the guide here: http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/mio268-speed-cameras.php says you need to purchase POI Warner separately before you can use the database.
hope this helps

Which mapping came with the unit as the Mio 168 came with Miomaps or TomTom mapping. Makes a difference to which download. |

As its running TomTom go for the TomTom ov2 download, this will provide the correct file type for your device, the choice of single file, consolidated by type or Speed Zoned is down to your choice - Mike |

Do I need to delete the old ov files before installing new ones? _________________ Not that technical

As they are as old as 2006 I would remove them yes, there is a chance the file names are different so you wouldn't be sure to overwrite the old files - simply remove the ov2 files from the map folder, if you haven't got a back-up copy of your memory card?
please ensure you take a copy BEFORE deleting any files (just in case) - Mike |

Glad to hear that worked out OK, have you considered spoken alerts for the cameras? - these are so much better than the beeps and bells you get with a standard set up, there are some instuctions on using/ installing ogg files for this Here - including links from that page to the free ogg file download page on the site - just a thought that you might want to explore the capability of the device a bit further as things have moved on quite a bit since early 2006 - Mike |

Hmm, answers offered before the question - thats spooky, let us know if it all works, if you followed the instructons and the simple test using AtoB planning and Route Demo in the guide you will know if it works before you set off though - Mike |

All worked perfectly, the voice is much better than the old bing bong, now I don't need to look at the satnav and speedo to save a ticket. _________________ Not that technical
