|
|
Just bought a Tom Tom ONE for £230.
Halfords were selling them for £250. They said they would price-match Currys next door (Warrington), but wouldn't throw in the carry case.
Went to Currys. Mortified to find that they'd increased price to £240 this morning, however manager came over and immediately offered to sell one for £230. But he too wouldn't throw in the carry case.
So got it from Currys. Looks like it's probably the best price right now, as all the retailers are increasing prices...
(Can't believe DABS were selling them for £276! They've gone from cheapest retailer to most expensive). |

Why not go to a BP or Texeco petrol station purchase a tenner of fuel and buy a "Gadget bag" for £2.99 - handy little bag for storing these sort of things in - OK its not the "official" unit but at that price its a give away, check for stock before you fuel though Mike |

Well given the choice I'd rather not buy from Currys, I'd also like to keep well away from Halfords. They're just as bad as each other.
I'm flabbergasted that such retailers are the cheapest. I'd just assumed that the online retailers would easily undercut them, but that's not the case.
It just comes down to price in the end. The online retailers are no better than Currys/PCWorld etc when it comes to after-sales service/tech support. |

Hmm, the posted link shows TT One as being £223.96 inc vat, Dixons has the same at £164! I know the OP didn't like Currys/ PC World, but that is one heck of a difference!

sorry my mistake . Still £10 cheaper at Dixons though, dropping to £6 cheaper if you take delivery into account. I get Nectar points through buying at Dixons, so would probably go for that myself :D _________________ Garmin Drivesmart 51 LMT-D Europe |
