I was wondering if it was worth upgrading my Ipaq 3660 for a new 2210.
Will there be any improvement in TTN2 performance? |

Can't say specifically about TT performance, but I went from the 3660 to 2210 and I really like the 2210. Smaller, lighter, swappable battery, neat set up with a Brodit mount.
And the 2210 is quite a lot cheaper now than in August last year when I got mine.

Hi Guy's
I have just upgraded from a Dell Axim X5 to a Ipaq 2210 because I was having problems with getting BlueTooth devices to work on the X5.
I found the 2210 to be a much better PDA - faster - lighter, but the only gripe I have is the battery life is less than the X5 ( X5 - 1440 mAH and 2210 - 900 mAH ) plus on the X5 I was using a 3200 mAH battery when I was away from the docking station for any time.

2210 will be a lot faster than a 3600 series iPAQ. Darren, Mike and I are all running 2210's as our main work horses, so I guess that kind of speaks for how we feel about them |

Thanks for all replies.
I think I will be getting a 2210 by the looks of it.
Also I will still be able to sell the 3660 before it gets too old.
It still has a few months extended HP/Compaq warranty left. |

These PPCs are really rather excellent
I have had mine a couple of weeks and already I wonder how I managed so long without it in the first place.
A bit like emails and attachments - how did we get by before?

I have just ordered a 2210 today for £214.95 inc postage.
They had 80 in stock on saturday, but they have sold out today as i got one of the last. Not surprising for that bargain price.
I just need to shop around for a serial cable and car charger now, as the ones for for my 3600 will not fit. |

I am sure that there is a retail outlet that would provide one for about £400
I sourced mine from Spotlight Guides

Are you still talking about the Ipaq 2210 ?
£400 is nearly twice the price I have just paid |

yep, 'fraid so.
One advert in weekend press described an extra 100 spndoolies off and price is/was in excess of 250 or our earthling UK pounds

Hi Guy's
Mine came from amazon.co.uk @ £249 with free P&P
You can buy one from £209 + P&P off eBay, but most are factory refurb's

Ipaq 2210 £215 inc VAT and Postage from www.globalpositioningsystems.co.uk I've dealt with them a couple of times and found them very helpful. I even rang them eight o'clock one evening and found someone there who helped with a query.
£223 from Expansys (not sure about postage) but I ordered from them when the website said stock expected in 4 days and it took over 2 weeks - so not impressed. |
