Hi, have you read any of the previous posts on the Q818 by searching the forum ..just Q818 will do.

Lots of info about the Qstarz BT-Q818 but not much on the Holux M-1000.

I think M1000 is a Dual Interface (BT and Serial Cable) but Q818 not.
