Sounds like the section of A1 that was "moved" a couple of years back. Not all maps are totally up to date. My i3 does the same thing around the same area. The map shows the old route of the road and shows you crossing fields etc for a minute or two....
Do you know what version Maps you have? |

Not a problem with your Navman. Its that the maps are not up to date.
There are many threads on this site which discuss that subject and where and how to report road alterations.
In brief summary, it takes about four years from a road being re-built to it appearing on a new electronic map. _________________ Navman ICN 520

As another 750 user I too have seen strange things afoot on my screen, and I echo the sentiments of the others. The gps is spot on in reporting its location but bears no resemblance to the map overlays. If you find a fault the best we can all do is report it to Teleatlas on their reports page.
Ps. TomTom also use teleatlas! _________________ Dom

I have a Navman F30, when I got it I was using it with the Traffic pack to guide me to work, avoiding traffic jams. I drive around the M25 each day. On the first time of using it, it directed me to Junction 15A. This is a non existant junction (an emergency services exit with a barrier). I reported this to both Tele Atlas and Navman, the reply from Tele Atlas was thank you, the reply from Navman was go and buy the latest map from the Navman store for £45. When I pointed out that the M25 was far from a new road and that the exit has never been a genuine exit and why should I buy a new map to correct an error in the mapping software, they simple advised me to either buy the new map (without guranteeing that the M25 exit had been corrected) or take up the issue with the supplier I bought it from! |

i had exactly the same trouble with my 610 navman when i bought it. the new part of the A1 joining the M18 wasn't there, it was a field according to the sat nav. when i updated the maps to the newest version its all there now, M6 toll road etc etc. |

When I started using satnavs, they were all straight lines, roundabouts were hexagonal at best, accuracy to the nearest mile, and motorway exits could start in the middle of any which field and end in any other which county.
One missing junction and it's the end of the world! You people have never had it so good! 8) _________________ Dom
